I want to express my deepest appreciation for the exceptional care I received during my recent stay at Johnson County Rehabilitation Hospital following my total hip replacement surgery. The level of professionalism and expertise of the physical and occupational therapists was truly outstanding. Thank you for your unwavering dedication to patient care. I want to give a special shout out to Abby (PT) and Kayla (OT), who worked the most with me. The kindness and compassion of the nurses and nursing assistants also brightened my days and nights. Also, the smiles of housekeeping and food servers … kindness is making someone smile if only for a moment. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing rehab.

Our Aunt recently spent a week at Johnson County Rehab. They welcomed her on Christmas Eve afternoon. It is an excellent facility that provides cheerful professional staff that are all always willing to help a patient or a visitor. Physical therapy provides activities that are stimulating and encourages patients to reach their goals. The facility is clean and bright. Food service provides balanced hot and delicious food. It is an excellent facility. Thank you for your excellent care and kindness.

Absolutely amazing facility and staff. The communication from the start was huge for me. I knew exactly what was happening with my mom and when. The nursing staff is the sweetest and genuinely love their job and patients (shout out to Shauntay, she’s a sweetheart!) The facility was clean, well kept, and food was good. Therapists and doctors were also kind, understanding, and patient. I would recommend to anyone in the community!

Megan and Kirsten were amazing!! They got me going with a fractured patella and shoulder in no time. They reminded me of my sister so it was like I was at home. This place is great. The food is great, the people are always smiling and in a great mood, and the people can always make you smile. two of my favorite (it’s so hard to pick weere Charlie and Edith) it was hard to say goodbye, but I was ready to go home. I actually came here twice when I had my foot surgery the first time. I decided to come back. I fractured my right side of my body and came back for two weeks and like I said, best decision I made when I knew I had to go back to rehab, I knew where I wanted med to go. If you need to go to rehab, I definitely recommend this place! You won’t be sorry.

As someone who has never been in an inpatient rehabilitation facility I would like to say this was a great experience. Tinesha the secretary made sure everything ran smoothly and was very nice. And every single staff member went out of there way to be accommodating for my needs. The occupational and physical therapists are fantastic and showed me things that I can do at home. Even the cafeteria crew went above and beyond to accommodate. These people care. I highly recommend this for inpatient rehabilitation.

I chose JCRH because of their high rating for therapy. They earned it! Their therapists are fun, encouraging, make the painful process of recovery tolerable and push you to regain movement. I'm so glad I decided to go there, even though it wasn't close to family/friends. The nursing staff was also excellent. During the snow storm when some couldn't make it in, they stayed over to work another shift, always in a good mood and providing quality care. The staff that really stood out to me throughout my stay were RNs Lisa, Yemi, Shauntay and Dustin, PT(A?) Kristen, OT(A?) Kayla, and Patient Care Techs Crystal and Natalia. There were so many more, but sometimes I didn't think to write down names. I had a good experience with everyone there.

Two suggestions: need somewhere to hang toiletry bag in bathroom and a few additions to the menu and a way to keep food (and room) warmer (room was cold and recliner was by window, so that didn't help) would be nice. Maybe a list of what else might be available, like writing down what you'd like to see if they can accommodate, mentioning there is ice cream, PB&J, hot chocolate, etc. The menu was pretty limited for me, since I have GI issues, but once I learned that they will try to accommodate, it helped.

All in all, JCRH made my stay as enjoyable as possible while helping me through my painful recovery. Thanks!

My husband had suffered a traumatic brain injury before he spent time at JOCO Rehab. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the care and therapy he received while there. From the therapists to the cleaning crew, nurses to administrators, every single person we met was kind, caring, professional, thoughtful, and absolutely made a very difficult time more bearable. I knew that my husband was well cared for and safe. He was challenged and encouraged in therapy but given patience to rest and recover when needed. I am so grateful for each and every person who took care of him!

I was on the third floor of this rehab facility for around 2 weeks recovering from a spinal surgery and there were a couple things that stood out to me. First is the nurses; Ms. Edith and Ms. Patrice were genuinely the best nurses I have ever encountered, they were enthusiastic, professional, knowledgeable, and just ridiculously amazing to deal with; plus they kept me laughing and in high spirits which is hard to do after a spinal surgery at the age of 27. I also encountered Christi a couple times and she was awesome as well. All of the other nurses were great too but those two definitely stuck out the most to me! My therapy team of Trissa and Kristen were also amazing at helping me make progress and feeling like my old self again! They knew what they were talking about and always had an idea how to move forward which was really nice as well as refreshing! The next and last thing that definitely stuck out was the food, I didn’t have a single thing here that I didn’t like and for the first couple days I didn’t even choose my menu. Overall I would easily recommend this rehab facility to anyone who needs to recover from surgery or anything of the sort!
