This place is neglectful and abusive. Do NOT take your loved one here. I will be attaching photos for proof.
My biggest problem is that somebody came into the room and removed her Call light, the little button they have to call for help when they need it had been cut cleanly with a pair of scissors and removed from her bed. I know it was cut with a pair of scissors by a worker because her roommate told me so. I will be posting a picture of her roommates, Call light as well as hers so that you can see the difference
They do not regularly clean the rooms it’s very common I come and the table is dirty the side table is a mess and my GMA legit has old food or dried throw up on her.
They didn’t realize she had a stroke for THREE whole days - I had to say something to take her to the hospital where they discovered she had a stroke multiple days prior but NO ONE in this nursing home noticed.. She had her fingernails growing into her hands to the point she was bleeding and had half moons in her palm from the nails. I have requested hospice for better care and was informed a report would be filed but she wouldn’t be moved to hospice. Since then She has a foul odor to her like she is not regularly bathed. Her hair is continually matted and more than one occasion I’ve had to request them to change her soiled clothes or diaper. The most recent time it took me over an hour just to brush on Matt out of her hair. This is unacceptable. I’m building a case against this facility for the state feel free to drop a comment or your own photos

Cumberland has a the best therapists in the therapy department, they go out of their way to make sure every patient has what they need. The rehab director, Kelly, makes sure patients get the most out of their rehab stay and ensures a safe discharge home. They also have a very nice therapy gym with state of the art equipment!

Extremely professional staff. I love how they treat my mom and how patient they are with her because she is a very impatient woman and hard to work with. (Set in her way) It’s nice to be able to get a call that they are helping her and working with her to start walking again after breaking her leg and a few other things. I love how clean the facility is and how big it is.

My mother just discharged from here and she says “it felt like a home away from home”. My mother was admitted for most of the Christmas holiday and the staff made it a magical experience! The building was festive, the staff were in the holiday spirit and there were tons of Christmas activities for the residents and staff ! The nurses were very attentive and therapy was amazing as well ! Thanks Carolina Rehab for bringing holiday cheer to my mom while she was away from home recovering. This is the place to be if you’re looking for some quality rehab and great care.

I entered Carolina Rehab on Dec. 18, 2024 and left
on Jan. 7, 2025.
The care I received was, for the most part,, excellent. The nurses and CNA's were wonderful, so kind and compassionate. I don't know what their pay scale is, but they all deserve a raise!
And now to the therapists. I believe they all must be angels on earth. I know they saved my life. I have to single out 3 people who really made a difference: Sarah Hawk, her student, Faith, and Nicole, in Occupational Therapy. Their kindness and compassion will never be forgotten, as well as their gentle prodding to do more.
I had a wonderful private room, but the bathroom floor was filthy.
I never saw anyone from administration. I did see a discharge person, and clearly told her that I would be going to my home. Despite this, on my discharge papers, my son's address was given-somewhere he hasn't lived in 12 years. Administration reps should spend time with residents to ensure they have correct information.
Overall I would recommend Carolina Rehab to anyone looking for an excellent rehab program only.

My father has been staying here and I’ve had a great experience especially in comparison to what I’ve experienced at other facilities in the area. The staff is incredibly attentive and compassionate, always going above and beyond to ensure his comfort. The facility seems to be clean and well-maintained. Also, outside of the significant improvement in his health (thanks to physical therapy and his nursing staff) I’ve noticed his mood has changed and he appears much happier (possibly due to social interactions with other resident). I’d recommend Carolina Rehab

My father in law was here and I am just in awe at the care he received ! The nurses and CNA’s were so attentive to his needs . Therapy worked with him every step of the way and helped him gain the strength he needed to come back home ! The administration team was awesome and always addressed my concerns in a timely manner. I give this place a 10/10 and they have a building full of superstar staff !

My mother is receiving great care from almost everyone here. The only exception will be Food Service. That's why it rates a 2. Do not expect the food services department to follow any suggestions. We continually waste food daily. She has been served food over and over that we told them she doesn't eat.
Update: Upgraded from a 2 to a 4 rating.Food Services has definitely helped to make mama's meals a better experience for her.
