So disappointed with this place. My mom is there now and has been there for 3 weeks. My mom needs physio on her arm and legs. They are working on her arm but completely ignore her legs. They help her into a wheelchair so she can sit up and get out of bed but then leave here there for 4-5 hours without checking on her. The meals are horrendous. In the last week alone they have served the same meal that looks like vomit. They even forgot her meal one night and my dad had to go yelling down the hall until someone went and got her something. Also very disappointed with the staff. I understand that they are busy but when the patients ring their buzzers they should answer and not sit at their station and ignore them. I’m not sure if all the floors are the same but the one my mom is on is terrible. I have more to say but will leave it for a later time for fear that my complaints may be taken out on my mom.

Excellent place for physiotherapy. It's well equipped and fully stuffed by specialists.

The nursing staff is super nice, always happy and helpful.

Typically 4 beds per room.

The facility have a cafeteria, TV room, and a balcony.

Plenty of parking for visitors.

My mother was here for a couple of weeks. She complained of abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea. Unfortunately her issues were ignored. She was then rushed to hospital, part of her bowel was dead and she was in septic shock. She then died. This was completely preventable and had she not been ignored would have had the issue dealt with much sooner.

After suffering a stroke in December, my mother received the best care at Richardson. The 3rd floor staff and nursing team was amazing, they treated Mom with compassion and kindness, always with a smile and words of encouragement.
The therapists, occupational, physiotherapists and language pathologists, went above and beyond with Mom. They worked with her with patience, kindness and respect. The speech pathologists gave Mom back the gift of communication.
You have all given our family the gift of support, understanding and encouragement.

I was there for 2~ months in1984. A huge industrial parts washer fell off a crane and I didn't quite get out of the way. Both feet were crushed under the edge. After surgeries at the Royal Victoria, I fully recuperated at the Richardson... was well received there.
Seeing a friend there yesterday, the place is even brighter and cheerfful The staff all seemed knowledgeable and helpful, and now they have phones at each bed.
There's a small cafeteria you can share with mobile patients, lunchtime (ends 1:30).
Two hour free parking in the parking lot outside makes for even more pleasant visiting.

My father was transferred here after a stroke to receive better support for his physiotherapy. He fell off his bed today because 2 people from the medical personnel told him not to bother them ?. They have been impatient with him and rude. I am so disappointed because he is alone and we cannot visit him.
