My dad was there on recommendations from his Dr. He had been there during COVID so I was not allowed in. He was not happy with the facility at that time but I didn’t know why. He once again entered Pine Acres this July ‘24, and had been there for 3 weeks. My dad was a spry 97 year old who left the hospital with gout and his Dr. suggested he return there. After every day visitations, I noticed that the nurses and aids were friendly but the attention given to him started to wain. After having a much needed conversation with the nurses and the Administrator, they promised to give him more attention and the next day some things seemed to be resolved. As I was getting ready to go visit him one morning, I received a call from his Dr. telling me about what had occurred with him the evening prior and he told me that my dad was taken to the hospital! Not one person from the facility had called me from 6:30pm the prior evening till the Dr called me the next day at 9:30am! I raced over to the facility to gather his things and have a talk with the Nurse and/or administrator, most of whom were at a meeting. I told one of the nurses there that not being informed was inexcusable! My father had a UTI and his catheter was part of the problem. He had been confused and disoriented for at least 4-5 days, which I was told may have been caused by the UTI. I thought since he was 97 that he may have been getting some bouts of dementia or confusion due to his brain not being stimulated and laying in bed for hours. In any case, I refuse to allow my dad back there and hope to look for another facility.

Pine Acres has been a wonderful experience for us. We reached out to 6 places and Carla from Pine Acres was the only one to return our phone call - and it was on the weekend. We toured the beautiful and clean facility and she answered all of my questions early on a Sunday morning.

During my husband’s stay we had a private room and have been very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility as well as with every person on staff from the front desk to the nurses, PT professionals, social workers, etc. They go above and beyond to help.

They also have several common areas if you need a spot to gather or relax.

If you or a loved one has to go to a sub acute rehab facility, I would highly recommend this one!

Pine Acres Rehab is simply the best!! It's everything you're looking for in a quality facility for your loved one. The clinical care is excellent; the rehab is outstanding; the aides are responsive and so helpful; and the food is actually quite good!! You can tell that the administration and the department heads truly care about their patients. The facility is clean and well-lit.
Need the perfect choice for subacute, long-term, or respite stays, look no further!!

I have been taking my mom to Pine Acres for about 5 to 6 years for respite care and I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. I truly love the home, the administration, nurses, nurses aides because they are simply amazing! They are caring , friendly and always go the e xtra mile to make sure your loved one is taken care of. My mom looks forward to going and spending time at Pine Acres. Justin the Director of the place is wonderful he is always available to assist me with any concerns or to make sure that my mother’s respite stay is the best one possible. The people treat my mom with such respect, love and warmth when she arrives and that gives me piece of mind! Thank you for just being amazing and having such a caring environment for our seniors.

Late in 2022, we suddenly needed a long-term care facility for my elderly Mom. After looking at several facilities, we liked what we saw at Pine Acres and Justin made the whole admitting process easy and straightforward. Even though we liked what we saw and heard on our tour we were still apprehensive with the unknown territory ahead and the horror stories you hear about long-term care facilities. It was not long before we realized we made the right choice. My sister and I went very often in the beginning to make sure she was cared for and we were so pleasantly comforted with the care she was getting. The staff is always very courteous and responsive to all her needs and any concerns that we bring up. Yes, there are always things that come up that need attention, but they always resolve the issues. They have several doctors making the rounds and a nutritionist who stays on top of her diet and contacts me periodically with updates. My Mom definitely needed medication for some erratic behavior she has always had and the psychiatrist they have was able to find the right mix of meds to stabilize her mood and she has been in excellent spirits. They have an optometrist as well as regular physicians who care for her. They contact you with any issues that may arise that you need to know about. There is a family meeting every quarter with the staff to update us on her condition. They even have a monthly meeting with the residents for them to air any complaints or concerns they have directly with the management. The management is always available and responsive if you have a concern. The activities people do an excellent job. I marvel at how they engage the residents in various activities and especially their patience level with each one personally, making sure they are all enjoying the activity of the day. Overall, not only does Pine Acres provide excellent care and keep my Mom clean and healthy, but equally important, I feel they give her dignity in the compassion and patience they show her. That's all I could ask of a long-term care facility.

Care at Pine Acres Healthcare was a POSITIVE experience. We had two weeks respite stay for a medically complex, immobile patient at Pine Acres in July 2023. Compared to the quality of care at four other facilities in Morris County he received in past, when after two days in their care ending up in hospital, Pine Acres is at the top of my list. Patient care needs were extensive and met well. The admission director Justin M. was detailed, personable, and efficient. Nursing staff and aids are caring and responsive to concerns. Rooms and amenities are kept clean and odor free. Will be back again!

Our elderly father was in this rehab facility for 28 days and got great care. What a relief to know he was somewhere safe, clean, and supervised. From the moment we entered the facility you are greeted with friendly and helpful staff. The place is modern and aesthetically pleasing. I visited every weekend while my Dad was in their care and the staff was always helpful and friendly. The room and facility always appeared tidy and clean. His only complaint was some of the food was not to his liking however, he also supposed to follow diabetic/kidney friendly diet, so there's that. However, they do permit you to bring in homecooked food as long as it's properly dated and labeled. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for 24/7 care.
