I got transferred here. She's a Villages Hospital acute rehab? They give you a great schedule. And they work around the clock. To make sure you have the proper nutrition. Hair and mental health May wake you up early you get your shower. They helped dress you you get ready for the day breakfast. Physical therapy in the morning break for lunch physical therapy in the afternoon I couldn't even lift my legs off the bed. And when I left after a month, I was walking and dressing and showering myself. The care here is unsurpassed. I couldn't even tell you how many nurses staff members physical therapy. They are all so kind giving and loving. I will never go anywhere else for any acute rehab. The Villages Hospital Is one of the best for physical therapy or anything else? Very compassionate love everyone there. Thank you for all your help care and generosity.

Both my mom, 88yrs (May 2019) and my mother-in-law 97yrs (Jan 2020) were helped by the Villages Rehab center located in The Villages Regional Hospital. They both received outstanding care from the doctors and nursing staff. The PT, OT and speech therapy staff were amazing!!!!! My mom is now a “walking miracle”. My mother-in-law is walking and getting stronger day by day!!!! I highly recommend this center for your loved one.

I am writing this review for my daughter, who suffered a stroke and has aphasia. She had initially been accepted by the Rehab Hospital, but because of a problem with her insurance, we had to bring her home with help from a in-home care company. Her ortho surgeon did a peer-to-peer consult with the Hospital Rehab, and much to everyone's surprise they refused her admittance. We filed a complaint with Medicare, who wanted to add the Hospital facility and her insurance company for not providing care that she so desperately needs. This is the ONLY facility in The Villages that is an in-patient rehab. It seems totally unacceptable that in our community, we can not get the proper care for our daughter. They decided without personal assessment that she would not benefit from their facility. Shame on them, hope this never happens to one of their children.

The nursing staff was great. They worked really well with my father and gave him the tough love that he needed. They CNAs came around frequently to get vitals and test glucose levels. The RNs were great and came around frequently.
The physical and occupational therapy departments were great as well. My dad thought they were “the bomb”. They gave him the attention that he needed despite having multiple patients at a time.
The food wasn’t that great. Even for hospital food.

Excellent! In general I am not a big fan of the Villages Regional Hospital - but the Rehabilitation Hospital is great! Acute theropy by definition is short-term, intense theropy (minimum 3-hours per day) usually 2 to 3 weeks in length. My sister was transferred from the Trama Unit at the Ocala Regional Medical Center with a broken arm and a broken back caused by a fall. She was transported on a stretcher; and it was all they could do to move her from the Stretcher to the bed. By the end of her two-week program, she was able to stand and walk for short periods and was sitting up in a chair most of the day when not in theropy. The theropists were great - they pushed the patients - but not too much. Everyone on staff from the doctor to the person who cleaned the room was caring, professional and helpful to both the patient and family. The food was good by hospital standards. The facility was clean.

The thing I liked most was the outstanding communication both within the staff and between the staff and the family. The Dr was accessable and happy to answer any questions. If you had a question that was not in the person's lane who you asked - they would get you the answer or have the appropriate person get back to you. Each Wed there was a status meeting that included the family, doctor, each theropist, nurse, and social worker. At that meeting we went over my sisters condition and the way forward. I hope I never need their services, but if I do - I have no hesitation on going there.

My injury was ruptured quadricep ligaments in both legs. When I got to TVRH I couldn’t do anything that came as second nature up to that time. In 10 days I was able to get in and out of bed, wash up and dress I myself, and many other things that I thought would take forever to do. Chris, Loren, Dominic, Joanie and Jodi were great. But, my rehab was mainly the work of Julie (Physical Therapist) and Jennifer (Occupational Therapist).

As for the nurses and CNAs that took such awesome care of me, I have to mention: Lovely, Mrie, Laura, Beth, Karen, Jolene, Mary, April, Colleen, Elizabeth, and Tracy.

Also the equally great CNAs: Veronica (Vee), Cedrianna (CeeCee), Tina, Bhomatti, Mellisa, Nadia, Donnie, and Shatoya. Anytime, day or night, that I needed anything, they would be right there. For anyone I might have forgotten, I apologize.

I can’t complete my review without recognizing the fine administrative staff: Dr. Braddom, Melissa, Erica, Brenda (Head of Nurses) and all the volunteers.

If you ever find yourself in a situation where you are in need of a rehabilitation center, look no further than The Villages Rehabilitation Hospital. You will not find a better and more caring institution.

What a beautiful facility. Clean, friendly staff, great physician. We were luck to have picked this facility with no prior knowledge of it after my husband's open heart surgery. Highly recommend it
